Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET)

What is FET?

A Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) cycle involves preparing your body to receive an embryo that was created and frozen during a previous IVF cycle. This allows you to use cryopreserved embryos at a time that best suits your body and circumstances, without needing to repeat the full IVF process.

Preparation Makes the Difference

With FET, you have the flexibility to plan your treatment when the timing feels right. Our dedicated team will support you through every stage, ensuring you feel informed, comfortable, and confident.

Guiding You at Every Step

Your body sets the pace. When you are ready to begin, you simply notify our team on the first day of your period. From there, we work together to prepare your uterus for the best chance of a successful transfer.

The FET Process

Step 1

Preparing the Uterus

Your fertility specialist may prescribe medications to help the uterine lining grow thick and receptive, creating the ideal environment for implantation.

Step 2

Cycle Monitoring

Through regular blood tests and ultrasounds, we assess your hormone levels and the condition of your uterine lining to ensure readiness.

Step 3

Thawing the Embryo

At the right time, your frozen embryo(s) are carefully thawed in the laboratory using precise techniques to maintain their health and viability.

Step 4

Embryo Transfer

The embryo, once thawed, is gently introduced into the uterus through a thin, pliable catheter. The procedure is simple, quick, and usually painless, performed within the center.

Step 5

After the Transfer

You will receive guidance on what to expect and how to monitor for pregnancy. About two weeks after the transfer, a pregnancy test is performed to check for a successful implantation.
